The Nomination period for the upcoming March 5, 2024 Glendale Municipal Election is open from November 13, 2023 to December 8, 2023 at 5:00 pm.

During the nomination period, we will update this page with a list of candidates who pull papers to run for office.

After nomination papers have been received and verified, we will post the updated list of names of those candidates who qualified for the March 5, 2024 Election.

NOTICE OF EXTENSION

OF NOMINATION PERIOD

GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION MARCH 5, 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the nomination period for candidates, other than incumbent candidates, in the March 5, 2024, City of Glendale Municipal Election is hereby extended to Wednesday December 13, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. This extension applies to the following offices:

City of Glendale City Council

Glendale Unified School Board Trustee Area A and E

Pursuant to Sections 10225 and 10604 of the California Election Code of the State of California, if nomination papers for an incumbent are not filed by or on the 88th day before the election the voters shall have until the 83rd day before the election during normal business hours to nominate candidates other than incumbent for that incumbent’s elective office. Because one incumbent for City Council and the incumbents for the above-referenced GUSD Trustee Areas have not filed nomination papers on or before December 8, 2023, the nomination periods for those offices are extended to the 83rd day before the election, or December 13, 2023.

Candidate packets are available in the Clerk’s Office, 613 E. Broadway, Room #110 Glendale, California, during normal office hours, during this Extension of Nomination Period: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, December 11 – December 13, 2023.
